Terms of Use

1. These terms

Astarium Network ("Astarium", "we", "us") provides a hosted platform that lets organisations create and operate branded online communities ("Networks"). These Customer Terms govern your organisation's access to Astarium, including trials, subscriptions, administration tools, and related services (the "Platform"). By creating a Customer account, accepting an order, or using the Platform, you agree to these terms.

2. Authority and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and authorised to bind the organisation you represent. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Platform and operation of each Network comply with laws and industry rules that apply to your organisation, audience, and locations.

3. Customer accounts

You are responsible for your administrator accounts, credentials, authorised team members, and all activity carried out through them. Keep access secure, give permissions only to people who need them, and tell us promptly at support@astarium.net if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Plans, billing, and renewals

Features, usage limits, fees, and billing intervals are shown when you select a plan or in an agreed order. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected interval unless cancelled before renewal. You authorise our payment provider to collect applicable fees and taxes. Except where law or an agreed order says otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.

5. Your Networks and legal responsibilities

You choose each Network's branding, audience, content, administrators, and player-facing legal documents. You are responsible for your relationship with Network players, the accuracy and suitability of your policies, lawful moderation, required notices and consents, and responding to player requests. Astarium's generated Network legal editions are templates only and must be reviewed for your circumstances.

6. Customer content

You and your players retain ownership of content submitted to a Network. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Platform. You confirm that you have the rights and lawful basis needed for content and data you instruct us to process.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, exploitative, or abusive activity; upload malicious code; infringe others' rights; bypass security or usage controls; scrape or reverse engineer the Platform except where law permits; or allow content involving minors, non-consensual sexual material, trafficking, or credible threats of harm. We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, the Platform, or comply with law.

8. Privacy and data protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle Customer account, billing, support, and website data. For personal data submitted by or through your Network, your organisation generally decides why and how that data is used, while we process it to provide the Platform. You remain responsible for your notices, legal bases, requests, and any additional agreements required by applicable data-protection law.

9. Platform rights

Astarium, its software, documentation, designs, and platform materials are owned by us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform during the subscription term. No ownership rights transfer to you. If you provide feedback, we may use it without restriction or payment.

10. Third-party services

The Platform may connect to payment, email, analytics, identity, storage, domain, or other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for third-party services you choose or configure, although we remain responsible for our obligations when using providers on our behalf.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Platform available and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. We may maintain, update, or change the Platform. We will aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that significantly reduce paid core functionality.

12. Suspension and termination

You may cancel through billing settings or as stated in an agreed order. We may suspend or terminate access for overdue fees, material breach, legal or security risk, or misuse of the Platform. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. On termination, your right to use the Platform ends and data may be deleted after applicable retention periods.

13. Warranties and liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Platform is limited to fees you paid us for the affected service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Changes and contact
